Varnville Community Council
Varnville Community Council is the civic community improvement organization for the town. Regular meetings are held on the second Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. They currently sponsor the annual Day in the Park held in October. This is a four hour celebration of Autumn and family togetherness held at the Town Gazebo Park at 200 West Palmetto Ave. Hamburgers, hot dogs and such are available. There are art displays, craft items, plant sales, a white elephant sale, entertainment at the Gazebo, and a bouncy air trampoline. Every one is invited.
The Palmetto trees planted between
Palmetto Ave and the CSX railroad tracks are the result of one of the Community
Council's ongoing projects as is the placement of flower containers on the
sidewalks in front of businesses downtown. We need volunteers who are community
oriented. Won't you join us?
