Founded
Originally constructed in
1950 as a 25-bed facility, Hampton Regional Medical Center was founded
and sustained by a grass roots community effort to provide quality
healthcare on the local level. As the needs of the population grew,
necessary renovations and additions took place in 1957, 1964, 1974 and
1980 and notable progress has been ongoing since 1995.
Established
We are a 68 bed Not For
Profit (501 C 3) Organization governed by a volunteer Board of
Directors. Our commitment is to provide to the highest quality standard
of healthcare, delivered and managed locally. Our primary focus is to
expand the scope of services available to the community, both in quality
and quantity.
Our
Future
We have announced our
intention to build a $25 million replacement health care facility. We
are in the planning phase; working with architects, engineers and
financial consultants to prepare the documents necessary to submit to
the Certificate of Need. We have developed a comprehensive multi-year
strategic plan designed to create a model rural health system and
increase services to the communities we serve.
